We have worked with We Are The Tonic for more than a year and have found them consummate professionals. They have helped to shape our senior team recruitment as well as refine strategy as we continue our rapid early advancement in the film business.

- Craig McNicol, MD Northern Europe, Koch Media

Deborah generously shared her fantastic wealth of knowledge of film marketing and distribution during the EU MEDIA funded Making Waves training in Berlin in 2013. Her coaching of the team was stellar.

Deborah Rowland is a marketing maven. From indie, crossover or mainstream titles, her knowledge and attention to detail brings a campaign alive and gives it the best shot in a tough market.

- Kate Gerova, creative director Birds Eye View

I was lucky to have Deborah as a mentor. She is funny, intelligent and inspirational, and I learned a lot through our case studies, workshops and conversation. Every session was well-structured, informative and pleasant. I would love to work together with her again as I'm sure her input will be beneficial for my future projects.

- Senia Dremstrup, Producer - Zentropa

Deborah was my group leader at the recent MBS Marketing & International Distribution course. Her talent and experience in marketing planning and strategy was an invaluable asset to me. She helped to clarify and position many aspects of the campaign I was working on, giving excellent advice, asking pertinent questions and being very lovely all at the same time.

- Jill Macnab, Division Manager, Vendetta Films

I met Deborah Rowland when I attended the Media Business School in Ronda, Spain.

Deborah was assigned to me as my tutor for the duration of the course and was available to discuss my project on a one-to-one basis and within the small group forum.

I found Deborah's delivery of her seminar "Distribution Planning - putting together the release strategy" during the course, enlightening, informative and creative - delivered with such clarity, confidence and expertise whereby she used WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN as her case study! She's an excellent teacher, with incredible patience - ask her about one of her unique teaching methods!! I fully understand the positioning of a film!

Deborah offered support throughout the course and was always available to discuss my project upon my return to the office. She's fab!

- Kate Hide, Business & Content Manager, HanWay

I had the opportunity to spend a week under Deborah Rowland's tutelage during Media Business School's Marketing and International Distribution" programme.

Deborah has a knack for communicating her wealth of knowledge in an effective, easy-to-digest manner. Her pleasant and spry personality compels a creative, at ease atmosphere, optimal for learning.

In other words, Deborah is a lot fun, and I learned a lot, too.

- David Leader, Leader Films MegaPlus master student, 2014

Deborah was my tutor at the Media Business School course "Marketing and International Distribution". The time and work with her were not just inspiring and fun but also very, very instructive. She has given me concrete tools to work with, ideas to develop and direct feedback of what could work in real life. We've been working very hard on our projects and the ideas and input I got from Deborah and the other participants are part of the new strategy for the film we are working on.

Deborah did an amazing job in teaching me that marketing starts with the simplest things, but can go to the craziest ideas. Each film requests its unique strategy and project management to reach its audience, and at the end of the day, we are doing this job to reach people.

- Maja Zaric, International Sales, East West Distribution
